Privacy Policy

As a counsellor I am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of my clients. During our first sessionI will take a brief history and your details including: your name, address, contact number, GP details, relevent medical history and date of birth. These details are stored in a locked file and kept separate from any brief notes I make following our sessions together. The notes I make use a code to identify you to me, which includes a number and your first initial.

​Under the GDPR regulations you ahve the right to read, amend or ask that the notes are destroyed, so do let me know if you would like to do any of these.


Supervision

As a counsellor I have professional supervision, which is a requirement of  the BACP
(British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy). I will talk about my work with my supervisor but your full name and any individually identifying aspects of your life are not disclosed.
