Counselling training and experience: After teaching for many years I was increasingly drawn to a more pastoral role and after four years training changed from teaching to counselling.I have worked as a counsellor in local schools and for the NHS before starting in private practice.
I started studying counselling with the Archway Trust, which concentrated on working with children, young people and their families. I then took a degree in Integrative Relational Counselling at Kingston(1st Class Hons). I have taken further training in Attachment Theory, Shame Processes and Working with Clients with Aspergers Syndrome.
I have experience in helping people with a wide range of issues including:
- addiction
- adoption related issues
- anger management
- anxiety
- Aspergers Syndrome
- bereavement
- depression
- domestic violence
- identity/beliefs
- low self esteem
